My Experience
Working at BMH has given me a wealth of opportunity to tackle many different challenges. I have no favorite role; it is the chance to contribute in different capacities that I most relish. The project management role is perhaps the most demanding, but also the most rewarding. Knowing that you have successfully sheparded a project from inception to beneficial use provides a certain level of internal satisfaction that is rarely matched. Many of the projects I have managed have eventually received national exposure in a number of magazines and even television programs. The engineering and consultative roles allow me to indulge both my inner perfectionist and macro-level thinker. I immensely enjoy the intellectual stimulation of digging into the data, analyzing the trends, and concepting new operational methods that leverage the resulting trends. When not working in those roles, I often look for opportunities to improve our internal spreadsheets and methodologies or conduct high level marketing research.
Working at Bastian
Undoubtedly, the best things about working at BMH are the fantastic people and the variety of work.
Why do customers come back to me?
I believe Bastian offers good solutions, reasonable pricing and professional execution while maintaining flexibility to adjust to changing customer requirements.
A little bit about myself
I play golf for relaxation. The only thing wrong in the world when you play golf is your swing. I enjoy poker in its many forms. The practice of drawing conclusions based upon limited information is very appealing. Other personal interests include US history and current events, astrophysics, practicing the Swedish language and sports.

Project work I am most proud of
I consider my greatest accomplishment thus far to be the creation of our internal costing spreadsheet. This project combined the best methods of costing from some of the sharpest minds across the company into a single spreadsheet. The costing function used to be a scattershot approach with costing techniques often re-invented with every new project. Now, the spreadsheet provides one a disciplined, organized and methodical approach to costing while providing a great deal of flexibility to allow for the unique details of every new project. The costing process can now be completed very quickly and consistently. Since saving a few hours during costing is so valuable under tight timelines, I continue to update and add further functionality to the spreadsheet based upon feedback of everyone who uses it.
