My Experience
I serve as a Site Supervisor for Bastian Material Handling. This position falls jointly between the Indianapolis Systems Group and the Louisville Regional Office. But when called upon, and when scheduling allows, I work on projects with all BMH offices and Field Sales Engineers. I manage the on-site mechanical and electrical installation from start to finish, as well as assist in system testing and debug, start-up, and maintenance training for BMH customers.
Working at Bastian
I enjoy working directly with my BMH customers, subcontractors and suppliers while helping BMH complete projects that meet the customer's expectations and keep the project on schedule. I also enjoy the travel required for this position and spend about 85% of my time out of town supervising projects.
Why do customers come back to me?
I want my customer to be successful and satisfied with the system when I leave the site by providing professional installation, startup and operation of the equipment.

Project work I am most proud of
I have had the opportunity to assist BMH with several muti-million dollar projects, many with a wide variety of material handling equipment including conveying and sortation systems, robotic systems, palletizers, stretch wrappers, carousels, ASRS, VRC's, P&A equipment, taping machines, construction of two and three level pick modules with pallet flow and carton flow, mezzanines and pallet racking. This has allowed me to continually to increase my knowledge of the many different types of equipment and applications used in the material handling business.
