My Experience
I''m privileged to serve as the Regional Sales Manager and Systems Group Manager for our BMH office in St. Louis, Missouri. My responsibilities include working with the regional and national sales teams to promote BMH and our technical capabilities by developing world class material handling solutions for the manufacturing, distribution and food & beverage preparation industries. I''m also very involved with the Systems Team to ensure the projects are executed in a timely, professional and successful manner for BMH and our customers.
Working at Bastian
During my time with BMH I''ve been fortunate to be a part of many great project teams and participated in various capacities on those teams including: installation supervisor, system start up support, Project Manager and my current role as Systems Group Manager. Each project has its own challenges and rewards but by fondest memories are the ones where we are able to help the customer from the time the ground is broken for the new facility until the system is commissioned and shipping product to their customers. To look back at the end of the project and know that I was a part of something as significant as transforming an unutilized plot of land into a state of the art distribution center which will employee hundreds of employees and bring satisfaction to our customer and our customer''s customers is my favorite part of being part of a BMH project team.
Why do customers come back to me?
I work with our customers as a part of their team, as an extension to their internal resources, to provide industry experience and honest feedback and advice to help them solve their automation and material handling problems in a manner that is most beneficial to them.
A little bit about myself
I grew up on a farm 60 miles South West of St. Louis Missouri and after moving out of state to work for a few years after college, I returned home to St. Louis where I currently live with my wife Su-Wen and my two sons Joseph and Clarence. We enjoy spending time outdoors as a family and traveling to Singapore as often as we can to visit Su-Wen''s family and friends.
Project work I am most proud of
I''ve had the opportunity to be a part of many project teams covering a diverse industry base. While serving as a Project Manager I oversaw the technical, financial and scheduling aspects of several multi-million dollar projects in the consumer goods, food and beverage and medical industries. I now use my firsthand project experience to coach our project execution team in St. Louis to ensure the customer''s system is delivered to them on time, within budget and technically superior to enable our customers to dominate in their market.
