My Experience
My job allows be to wear many different hats, this means that I get to play a lot of different roles throughout the material handling business. My job is think outside the box and develop solutions that may not be "by the book" if needed. I enjoy the problem solving aspect of my job and believe that is my greatest strength.
Working at Bastian
I enjoy being able to travel to different facilities and see different applications. There is something to be learned at each and every site. Interacting with the customer and truly understand his needs is important to reach the goal of a supplying the customer with the right solution at the right price.
Why do customers come back to me?
I believe that I have a very upbeat and positive attitude. This personal outlook makes it easy for customers and clients to relate and operate with me.
A little bit about myself
I grew with in Carmel IN, with Mom, Dad, and my sister Lauren. I worked in a Bike shop all through high school. There I was able to apply my mechanical aptitude and developed an interest in mountain biking and cycling in general. I started playing piano at the age of 9, picked up guitar at 14 and continue to love and play both to this day. I knew that I wanted to be an engineer since the beginning of high school. Purdue was my first and only choice. My freshman year I joined a fraternity, made many friends and connections through the house. I spend 6 months in Australia, traveled to New Zealand, and Fiji. This time has inspired a strong desire to travel in the world. I would like to continue my travels some day. I look forward to moving to California starting fresh from there.
Project work I am most proud of
While I was an intern, I was assigned to site supervise a project by myself. I am proud on that particular project because I was able to manage the system while having little to no experience with any type of material handling system. I had to learn quick, and react appropriately.
