What Is a Warehouse Control System?

The Exacta Warehouse Control System (WCS) includes both traditional automation control as well as several modules of functionality typically found within a warehouse management system. The Exacta WCS collects information as events occur from all types of order fulfillment technology and material handling equipment, as well as other higher level software systems to efficiently direct and manage processing within a warehouse. The critical link between all of these individual pieces of equipment is the WCS, which provides you with user interfaces for planning, managing, monitoring and controlling activity. The modular nature allows for additional functionality to be easily added in as the needs of the facility change and grow.
