Written By: Laurie Weaver

Monday, October 4th, 2010

BMH recognizes that our talented and driven employees are responsible for the success of the company, so we regularly analyze where we need to grow and how we can recruit top candidates. In recent years, we have hired many successful engineers through career fairs. We are fortunate to be headquartered near two top engineering schools, Purdue University and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Many of our satellite offices are also located near excellent universities such as Georgia Tech, Missouri S&T, University of Louisville, and Cal Poly Pomona.

The Passing of a BMH Family Member

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

BMH mourns the loss of a longtime member of the BMH family, Jim Doerkson.

For those of you who had the pleasure of knowing Jim, he was a loving husband and father, a humble but incredibly talented engineer, and a true friend. His relationship with his customers was remarkable and he could often be found with them on the fairways of his local golf course. Jim loved golf and even designed and project managed large upgrades at his local country club. Jim was born in the Reedley, CA, which gave him an advantage in business since he attended school with many of his customers. Jim went on to attend Reedley College and Fresno State.

A sales engineer with Durand-Wayland for 19 years, Jim joined Hytrol of California in 2001 as a sales engineer and then BMH in 2003. Jim supported the agricultural market with material handling systems. His knowledge of this market was extensive not only because of his engineering experience, but because he also farmed sizable fruit crops of his own. The LA office was spoiled on his visits as he would bring fresh fruit down to everyone. Jim will be greatly missed by the BMH family.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife Carol, his son James, and daughter Amanda. Please keep them and their extended family members in your prayers during this difficult time.

Jim Doerksen’s memorial services will be held this Friday, October 30th, 2009 at 3:30 pm ay Kelly’s Beach in Reedley, CA. For those planning to send arrangements, please direct them to the following address:
