The use of bellows skirts to protect the components of the lift is encouraged, to minimize dirt and debris from getting under the lift, to create a more aesthetically pleasing work environment, to reduce over spray on the hydraulic cylinders in paint booth application or to aid in “housekeeping”. These are all good reasons to consider bellows skirts on lift and tilters, but they should not be considered a “safety device”.

Accordion bellows skirts are a popular option, but it is in the best practices of the material handling industry to apply and refer to accordion or bellows skirts as “protective devices” not “safety devices or guards”. The lift industry does not present flexible accordion skirts as “safety devices” because they clearly do not meet the minimal requirements of the ANSI Standard, as it defines and promotes safety.

Description

  • When loads, weights, pallet sizes or product dimensions vary greatly, the powered Pallet Positioner with total operator control is the solution.
  • A foot control allows the operator to adjust the load to an infinite number of positions up to full height of 32-3/4" (plus pallet height), so it is always at the most comfortable working height, thus minimizing lifting, bending and stretching.
  • A flexible piece of equipment that features fork pockets to allow relocation within a facility and requires only a 115 volt power source to operate.
  • Pallet turntable top uses low-friction bearings, so pallet rotation is smooth and easy to operate. Operator is always working on the near side.
