Gravity conveyor is a cost effective method (no power required) of transporting and accumulating product. Declines are typically limited to 4 to 7 degrees based on the weight and bottom flatness of the cartons. Skate wheels flow easier with lighter weight cartons than roller gravity. Typical applications include receiving, packing, shipping, & assembly lanes, lean cells and sorter divert spurs.

Skatewheel gravity conveyors will convey lighter products than roller gravity conveyor. Skatewheel gravity conveyor allows for product accumulation at mimimum decline angles less than roller gravity conveyor. Skatewheel is also often used to decelerate products coming off of a high speed sorter.
