Angled Roller Top Sortation

Angled roller top sortation equipment (ART) can be configured for very close divert locations, creating a considerable space savings, and they are easily re-configurable for maximum future flexibility. Product can be diverted off either side of the ART sorter at 30 or 22 degree diverts.

How Angled Roller Top sorters Work
Angled roller top conveyor is uniquely designed with a modular plastic belt that is embedded with angled rollers. On this conveyor the modular belt is fitted with rollers having diameters extending through both the top and bottom surfaces of the belt. As the belt moves along the conveyor, these rollers rotate and convey the load at a higher speed than that of the belt. Mechanisms in the undercarriage control when and where lateral product movement will occur.

Furthermore, these rollers are positioned at an angle to the belt length so as to convey the load angularly to the conveyor length. This enhanced speed and angular product flow makes this conveyor ideal for many material flow challenges. Divert Locations can be relocated in the future for flexibility

Benefits of Angled Roller Top Sortation
This sorter can divert practically any size package, from letter size to heavy pallet loads at up to 120 cartons per minute, bi-directionally. And the system is highly configurable, with zero space required between diverts, thus providing good space savings. Since the product rides on small rollers, you must consider the friction level of the product to be diverted. This sortation technology has recently been used in parcel sortation and in some cases takes the place of a shoe sorter.
