High Speed Paddle Sortation
High speed pusher & paddle sorters are used to sort items difficult to convey due to their irregular shapes. Cylinder belt pushers can divert 120 items per minute and at a right angle onto chutes on close center lines.

How High Speed Paddles Work
High speed paddle style small item sortation systems as shown here support varying product types and sizes. Uniformly sized product is horizontally stacked at the divert points in “loaves” much like sliced bread. A signal light or CRT display then directs an operator to place the loaf of product in the box when ready, and then place the box on a takeaway conveyor mounted beneath the high speed paddle system.
