Likewise traditional, or conventional, palletizers are also widely used and available. Many companies use conventional palletizing for the following reasons:
- Conventional palletizers are often less expensive on average than robotic palletizers.
- Conventional palletizers are faster than robotic palletizers in some applications.
- Conventional palletizers provide palletizing automation at a lower cost.

The conventional palletizers we offer include:
- Low level palletizers offer the forming of multiple rows at one time thus greatly increasing the speed. Low level palletizers are available with the following options:
- Palletizing on the floor or on the conveyor. If palletizing on the conveyor is selected, pallet dispensing and slip sheet placement is available.
- Four-sided squaring ability.
- Several different controls packages are available.
- Stretch wrapping is available.
- Online programming is available.
- Row pushers are available as standard cantelivered row pushers which are often used in low speed and weight applications. Likewise, overhead row pushers are electronically driven with pneumatic retraction once the push is complete. Overhead row pushers are often used with higher speeds and weights. Row pushers can cycle approximately 6 times per minute.
- Chain driven elevators travel vertically to load built product layers onto the pallet. Various travel allows for different load heights and elevators can cycle approximately 2.5 – 3.25 times per minute.
- Gantry palletizers allow for multiple infeeds and discharges and will accommodate heavy product at slow speeds. Gantry palletizers pick up layers, rows, or individual products one at a time. Three types of gantries are available inclucding:
- The X-Z gantry moves on a vertical and a horizontal axis.
- The X-Y-Z gantry is an area gantry with vertical movement in addition to movement in the X-Y plane.
- The X-Y-Z-W gantry is an area gantry with wrist rotation. The X-Y-Z-W gantry cycles approximately 3 times per minute.
The related palletizing equipment we offer includes:
- Timer/spacer conveyor utilizes a meter spacer which thus creates a gap between the cases that are uniform in orientation. This allows for the counting of product. Various lengths and widths are available.
- Row former conveyor orients the product for row formation and is available with the following options:
- 90-degree infeed transfer.
- Right angle infeed into the palletizer.
- Pop-up rollers allow for a 90-degree transfer.
- Rubber coated rollers to pull product away quickly.
