Exacta® Acculight™ Pick To Light (PTL) Technology provides an efficient
and very accurate method of picking, putting, sorting, and assembly of products
or parts in a wide variety of applications. Picking instructions are immediate
and easy for an operator to follow. The Warehouse Management System (WMS) is updated in real time after an
operator transaction. Individual operator productivity is often 4 to 5 times
that of typical paper based picking systems with 99.5%+ accuracy. Orders can
be batched with an Exacta® Acculight™ PTL system to provide even further

Pick to Light Operations
- Picking instructions are provided by answer kits (lamps and quantity display LEDs) that can be checked from up close or from afar.
- The worker performs the picking operation quickly and accurately, without having to carry around a picking list.
- The worker presses a switch to report completion or a missing
item to the computer in real time.
Pick to Light installation
- Exacta® Acculight™ PTL devices can be easily installed on existing equipment such as racks and picking carts.
- Exacta® Acculight™ PTL devices use cableless duct for an easy snap-in installation which requires no confusing cables. This technology results in significantly reduced installation time.
- Exacta® Acculight™ PTL devices can be easily reconfigured when resizing or repositioning locations.
Budgetary Pricing for Pick to Light
For typical picking operations (standard carton flow rack with approximately 1,000 SKU locations), an Acculight "Pick to Light" system costs between US$100 and $115 per display location. These prices include:
- Work indicator devices (directs the activities of the operator in a zone or sub zone)
- Pick devices (provides SKU specific information at each pick interface)
- Bus rail (delivers power and communications to individual devices)
- Bus rail accessories (e.g. power-to-rail connectors, signal terminators, rail covers)
- Power supplies (transform and rectify 120 VAC)
- Ethernet link boxes (Acculight Pick to Light ONLY) and mechanical installation
Pick to Display and Pick to Light devices can both be used in the same system based on the picking characteristics of the specific products. Also one light can be used to direct picking to multiple pick or put locations for additional cost reduction.
