Request An AS/RS System Quote

Thank you for your interest in having us prepare a quote for you. Please fill in as much of the information below as necessary and we will get right back to you with a formal quote.

Primary Information

Please provide as much information to the following questions below:

  1. Describe the process in which this buffer will serve (i.e. distribution, manufacturing, or hybrid process)
  2. How is the material buffered today that will go into this new system?
  3. What type of loads will you be handling (pallets, totes, cartons, etc.), a generic description along with an approximate quantity of each load.
  4. Provide the average dimensions and weight of the loads, the rate at which loads will arrive for storage, and the rate at which they will be pulled for use or distribution.
  5. Describe the area in which this buffer might be constructed. For example, if this is to be a retrofit - what are the room dimensions.
  6. How do you anticipate this system will interconnect with other process elements (i.e. conveyors, fork lifts, manual load stations, etc.?)
  7. Describe the automation you already have in place. Do you support the automation internally, or will you need the support of your integrator for ongoing system support and maintenance.
  8. Have you seen this technology used in a similar operational process? If not, what do you foresee as the primary benefit of this solution?
  9. What is the stage of your project? (1) Preliminary/Investigative, (2) Budgeting, (3) Funded - soliciting integration partners, and what is your planning horizon? Is there an established team working this project?
  10. How would you like us to be of assistance both immediately, as well as through the course of your project?

Secondary Information

Please provide as much information to the following questions below: (Optional)

  1. What do you produce? What is the nature of your demand? What is your drivng request for improvement?
  2. What problems are you having that a buffer system would improve?
  3. Do these problems seem to be getting worse? Are they temporary? Are they new?
  4. What are the fulfillment expectations of downstream customers (internal or external)?
  5. Describe the boundary conditions that will define this project and how the buffer might be configured:
    • Number of SKU's that would be on hand at any given time
    • Do loads get consumed as units or is the system to support broken case or carton picking
    • Is this retrofit or green field - if latter - zoning parameters, etc.
    • If retrofit, Length and Width and Clear height of space available
    • Conditions of the floor (thickness, stability)
    • Plant limitations (i.e. access/egress, fire loops, etc.
    • Known Seismic considerations
    • Do you have comparable automation in place today? Internal tech staff for support?
  6. Have you developed a value stream mapping of the process that considers a buffer in this location?
  7. Can we review data about input, output, order fulfillment and recent performance ratings?
  8. Who and how will a project like this be judged against alternatives, and what will this project do for you if it is implemented?
  9. What concerns would you have about employing this type of automation within your process?
