Case Study: Eli Lilly
System Summary

Eli Lilly and Company recently utilized Bastian Material Handling (BMH) to integrate leading material and information handling technologies for their Indianapolis Distribution Operations. The system is designed to maximize flexibility and responsiveness for their customers. Previously order pickers traveled through the warehouse assembling orders on carts one at a time. With the new system orders are picked in parallel from the narcotics vault, chill room, full case an split case modules. The new process allows Eli Lilly to fill orders quickly without compromising their high standards of perfect accuracy and quality control.
