Inventory Control and Management

Accurate and efficient tracking of inventory is critical to managing inventory levels and minimizing out of stock situations. The Exacta warehouse management system includes inventory software tools that enable you to easily track and manage items throughout your warehouse.

Exacta receiving provides options for verification of receipts against purchase orders, advanced shipping notices (ASNs) or blind receipts based on operational needs. Received product can be adjusted or corrected as a problem is identified without having to stop and use a separate adjustment option. Problem product can be placed into quarantine with a reason code associated for quick and easy visibility and reporting. Receiving configuration enables an appropriate put-away location to be identified as products are processed, allowing operators to process more efficiently and get product stocked quickly.

Putaway can be system directed or operator directed for flexibility across different operational styles. Configuration allows for single or batched putaways and adjustable levels of scan verification to meet varying business requirements. Cycle counting is used to check and maintain accurate inventory and many companies employ rigorous cycle count programs as part of an overall strategy to move away from having to perform a physical inventory.

Cycle count updates may be posted to the host system upon completion, ensuring the host system has the most up-to-date inventory level possible to promise to customers.

Order Fulfillment

Balancing work throughout your warehouse so the orders arrive at the right time down in the shipping lane area is a constant challenge when you have different methods of order fulfillment and multiple operators working to process orders. The Exacta WMS planning tools help select and group work to be released and processed based on your business rules. The control to plan and adjust for fluctuations in staffing and volume while having clear visibility to work in all areas gives managers the information they need at their fingertips.

The Exacta WMS supports a variety of picking methods including: by order, batch, wave, pick and pass and parallel picking, to allow your operation to use what makes the most sense.

Shipping

Proper packing and shipping is important to minimize monthly freight bills while meeting delivery expectations. The Exacta WMS can interface to a wide variety of manifest rating engines such as ConnectShip, Kewill, and ProShip. The Exacta software can be integrated with major carriers' tracking systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS) providing a web interface with visibility to the exact status of a shipped order.

The shipping software can be integrated as part of an Exacta warehouse management system or Exacta warehouse control system for a complete integrated solution.
