JD StumpfBastian Solutions, a global systems integrator and consulting firm, is presenting at the 2017 FlexSim user conference, FlexSimposium, August 7-8 in Provo, UT. The company will showcase its use of FlexSim software in the creation of material handling system simulations that help customers visualize and evaluate automation investments.

“The simulation process allows our consulting team to create computer models of our customers’ operations,” explained Marvin Logan, Director of Consulting at Bastian Solutions. “These models provide a true look at real or proposed systems, allowing customers to test scenarios, solve problems, and experiment before ever making a physical change to their operation.”

FlexSim software has CAD-like functionality combined with 3D animation to create an accurate graphical representation of a system. To educate and inform users, the company hosts a biennial conference that includes training opportunities, networking, and a look at the software’s latest features.

JD Stumpf (pictured), consulting engineer at Bastian Solutions will present at FlexSimposium, showcasing the company’s use of FlexSim to validate concepts, optimize designs, and model changes. Additionally, Stumpf’s presentation will highlight a real-world case study featuring a major cosmetics distributor. Bastian Solutions used FlexSim to emulate the customer’s distribution center and provide a flexible tool for ongoing system analysis. This allows the customer to simulate slotting plans, staffing schedules, order volumes, and more before putting the changes into production.
