August 14, 2018 (Tampa, FL) – Bastian Solutions, a global material handling and robotics systems integrator, announced today the opening of its newest office in Tampa, FL. The expansion brings local support to better serve existing Bastian Solutions clients as well as the opportunity to assist new customers with their automation needs.
“Florida is one of the top distribution markets in the nation, and as fulfillment centers move closer to consumers, a populous state such as Florida will require more automation to keep up with demand,” explained Reed
Langton, who was recently named regional manager of the new office. “We are excited to serve this growing market as well as build stronger relationships with our local customers. Bastian Solutions is also well-versed in automated solutions for the aerospace industry, so overall, Florida offers an excellent opportunity for us to better serve our core industries and clientele.” Langton (pictured right) joined Bastian Solutions in 2006 after graduating from the University of Notre Dame. He started as a field application engineer (FAE) and later a senior FAE. During this time, Langton worked with many customers in Southeast Michigan across industries, including automotive, distribution, food and beverage and pharmaceutical. After eight years, he was promoted to regional manager of Michigan, overseeing sales and engineering in Michigan and Northern Ohio. In his new role, Langton will oversee sales, engineering and operations in Florida with a goal to grow and serve the local customer base.
To date, two additional employees have been added to the Florida office—Wynn Watson and Ryan Nicholas. Watson was previously employed at CEVA Logistics as a solutions design engineer where he designed and implemented material handling systems for the 3PL industry. Nicholas was at Lear Automotive as an industrial engineer where he worked to streamline manufacturing processes and implement automation equipment and systems.
Bastian Solutions’ Tampa office will be the company’s 22nd location in the U.S., contributing to its goal of providing superior and timely customer service.
