(Chicago, IL) – Bastian Solutions, a Toyota Advanced Logistics company, will showcase the latest version of its goods-to-robot each picking technology integrated with an order fulfillment system at ProMat booth S1603, April 8-11 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
This automated order fulfillment system is an ideal example for company’s looking to improve their e-commerce order fulfillment operations. The fully-integrated system will feature the energy-efficient and scalable AutoStore robotic storage and retrieval system, which offers the highest storage density in its class. AutoStore robots will deliver totes to a workstation where Bastian Solutions’ vision-guided, each-picking robot will use a flexible end of arm tool capable of picking one or multiple products at a time. Products will be picked as directed by the company’s Exacta warehouse execution system to a container that will transfer through a high-speed ZiPline Conveyor shoe sorter and then receive packing slips from the company’s robotic document inserter, a high efficiency, low maintenance alternative to traditional document inserters.
In addition to the solutions featured in the company’s ProMat booth, Bastian Solutions is presenting, The Rise of the Urban DC – How Best Buy is Transforming Its Supply Chain, a seminar on Tuesday, April 9, in theater G at McCormick Place. The seminar is a joint presentation given by Rob Bass, Chief Supply Chain Officer at Best Buy along with Greg Conner, Vice President International Sales and Marvin Logan, Vice President of Systems Integration at Bastian Solutions. The seminar will highlight how Best Buy is transforming its omni-channel operations with the right mix if material handling automation and supply chain network optimization.
